St John’s Parish Sacramental Program

Request for a new Sacramental Co-Ordinator for St John’s Parish. This parishioner would organise and teach the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation in our parish. If you are interested please talk to Fr Zakaria or ring the parish office for more information.

The Sacramental program will go ahead with no change to the dates of the classes for Holy Communion and Confirmation for 2020.

Unfortunately, Reconciliation had to be cancelled earlier this year due to Covid-19. Children who missed this sacrament will be able to join the class next year, 2021, during Term 2. Dates for 2021 will be announced early 2021.

Please contact the parish office to register your child or for more information.

Pascal Chocolate or White Lambs are for sale – at the

discounted price of $6 each. Please see Fr Zakaria, the Piety store or you can contact the parish office during weekdays to purchase the chocolate.

Ordinarily, the Peter’s Pence collection for the Holy See would take place around the solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, which would be this weekend (27/28 June).

However, in April 2020, it was declared that due to the current health emergency, the Peter’s Pence collection would be transferred throughout the world to the 27th Sunday of Ordinary Time, 4 October, which is the memorial of St Francis of Assisi.

Welcome to our new parishioners. Please fill out a New Parishioner Form at the back of the parish and return to the parish office.

Second Collection Envelopes are now available to collect from the porch. If you are new to our parish or have decided to contribute using the envelopes, please contact the parish office for more information.

Social-Distancing: 1.5m apart outside and 4m inside a building

Please read all posters and notices on church doors and notice board for the latest information for our church, May God watch over us and keep us safe during this time. Thank you.
